In 2013, Citizens for a No-Kill Philadelphia started a volunteer Help Desk to ensure that during difficult times, families are given the resources needed to keep their pets instead of feeling forced to surrender them to the shelter.

A grant through the Philadelphia No-Kill Coalition in 2018 allowed us to expand the reach of the Help Desk by adding staff and having a physical presence where we would make the most impact, at the Philly open-intake shelter, ACCT Philly.

Since April of 2018, the Help Desk has helped keep 2,171 animals OUT of the shelter.

How? The Help Desk associates counsel the families and help them navigate the resources available including our Pet Food Pantry, Behavior Assistance Program, Pet-Friendly Housing Resources, Low-Cost Vet Care and Emergency Relief Resources.

This surrender prevention program was born in the community, lives to serve it, and now needs your help to continue to thrive.

$3,500 keeps us supporting people and their pets for another month. Help the HELP DESK and Citizens for a No-Kill Philadelphia keep pets in their homes and families together.

Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.
