Citizens for a No-Kill Philadelphia is dedicated to assisting Philly's pet owners while helping decrease the number of animals brought to our animal control shelter, ACCT Philly each year. One way is to help pets bypass the shelter altogether by connecting pet owners with local animal rescues!
Can you hang onto your pet while looking for a new home?
Great! REHOME by Adopt a Pet is a great online resource that helps pet owners adopt their pet directly to a new family. This helps lesson the burden on our local animal rescues and prevents pets from being surrendered to our crowded shelter-system.
Before you go to the shelter, connect with a local animal rescue!
NOTE: Upon completion of this form, your information will be forwarded to local animal rescues and a representative from one or more organizations may contact you at the email address/telephone number provided above to discuss further assistance and/or surrendering options. Please be advised that completion of this form in no way guarantees placement of your animal with a rescue. While Citizens for a No-Kill Philadelphia and the participating rescues will do their best to exhaust all resources and options to accommodate the necessary surrender of your pet, placement will be dependent upon availability and capability of the rescues to house your animal and place it up for adoption.

Simply complete an owner surrender request for each pet you need help with below. Your request will be automatically forwarded to a network of Philadelphia-area animal rescues. If a rescue is able to help, they will contact you directly!
