The Philadelphia No-Kill Coalition is a collective of animal welfare agencies working together to make Philadelphia a no-kill city where every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home. The Coalition aims to end the killing of savable pets in shelters by helping struggling owners keep their pets as cherished family members and increasing rescue, adoption, and foster opportunities for animals who have nowhere else to go.
CNKP is proud to announce itself as a partner of the Coalition along with founding members PAWS, the Pennsylvania SPCA and ACCT Philly. Thanks to PetSmart Charities, Citizens for a No-Kill Philadelphia will be hiring two Community Pet Help Desk employees to sit within the walls of ACCT Philly to help pet owners understand the resources available and prevent needless surrenders.
